Yes,on large view you get to see the hard snow broken up;this happens on snow that has hardened under car/truck traffic or compacted snow in a hard drift spot.Thank you for looking in and for the observation.

Thank you.This is the access road to the wharf area and it is maintained opened for/by the fishermen using those cabins(see under the arch) on the ice for smelt-fishing.
