Pillowflight

Gerolamo, thank you for your comment and the opportunity to discover your own fine portfolio, like that of Jack, that I had missed in the past.

Nice angle and overall composition indeed. I can feel the wind on my face, but i also like that little stick on the right side. It seems to fight back the power of the wind.

Keep on shooting.

I cruise past 90% of images and this one caught my eye and here I am so that is a victory for the image.  HOWEVER - if I am forced to look for a fault I would say I would like to see the pillow cases farther on the right side of the photo so it one fell off I would not be lost immediately off the edge of the image.  

Perhaps there is some unseen reason for this angle.  Well done!!

The angle of the photo was based a bit on light direction, perspective of the pillow cases and the fast moving clouds and a desire to keep the landscape and washing line posts within the image. The pillow cases alone against the sky were photographed as well, but that seemed less interesting to me. However, I did consider that it might be cool to paint-out the cord seen at the top right so as to add a bit of non-realism or a question of the origin of the flying pillow cases. Finally, the unmanipulated photo was chosen so to evoke the wind on the clothesline subjects.

Colors on these gulf islands are unaffected by atmospheric pollution and are somewhat like those we see in mainland rural scenes under sunlight and bright snow. 

A wonderful and well thought out image! I love the angle and the capture of the wind on the pillowcases. The way you have photographed this scene with the background clouds and the colorful houses makes this a great shot! Nice color too. Very well done. Thank you for sharing. :)
