Thank you for looking in.Not much snow.around 30-40 cm but high winds shut down visibility and just about everything around...schools,stores,gov.offices etc and secondary roads as this one were not opened.Schools also shut down today and other establisments opened for afternoon business.Digging out took me a good two hours and I have a good tractor/blower.

Re the squirrels;after they ate out all the plastic trash cans/containers,I stored the seeds in a metal trash can as you did. Then,I used all my engineering knowledge to try to outfox them by installing an 8-ft tightwire between two large trees and hung the tubular feeders from the wire taking good care to install large aluminium pie pans above each much like you did.Well,I think these little guys took correspondance courses from ''Cirque du Soleil'' as they all became tightwire walkers and would jump from the wire at an angle to avoid the plates and grab the bottom of the feeders and then jump from one to the other eating the seeds and most of the plastic feeders.... then,I trapped and relocated the colony and sadly,I also lost the company of my feathered friends.

Meilleures salutations-Laurent
