I don't know very much about different types of Film. My film days were pretty much limited to Kodak 100 ASA. I do not have a decent scanner, so I appreciate what wonderful results you obtained. You really got some excellent detail with that Camera and lens. I am thinking this shot was taken from the air??? Really quite beautiful Dimitris. I can't help but wonder how much this view has changed since 1982. One of the things I can't get over is the excellent detail in the leaves of even the trees and the cliffs on the right. Some digital cameras and lenses used today do not achieve such detail (at least ones in the amateur  range)

As a general rule, film slide has a higher optical density than photo negatives. A photo finisher friend of mine once told me that there is a course for scanning in Japan and it takes three years to complete..-:). http://www.pixmonix.com/tutorials/tutorial-scanner-dmax.php If you are interested in scanning there is a lot of information at that link. I did not take this from the air as you thought although there were helicopter rides over the falls, but from an observation tower. I also wonder,Gail, what has changed there since 1982...This is the beauty of photography though, remembering details that normally you forget. I call these photos, time capsules. I used a prime lens for this capture probably a 17mm. canon f4. I still have all my old cameras and lenses...-:). Gail my sincere thanks for your visit and comment,my friend.
