This big piece of ice proved too heavy to be carried away by the

receeding tide and got stranded until the next high tide.Thank you for

Thank you kindly.This ice breakup usually occurs much later in the spring but a few days of rain and some high winds got the ice sheet to break up and leave the scene for this type of photo....but it will freeze up again for a totally different scenery and other photos.
