The smelt fishing shacks are set close to the channel which often

breaks open on tide movements.Thank you for your comment-Laurent

Hi Laurent. This is an absolutely wonderful shot. What a great perspective. I like the deep blues of the water that go so well with the sky. A great composition.

Fine capture- must be viewed as large - great shades of blue- the super wide works here well- great landscape -great story. br Hannu

Thank you for looking in and for the kind appreciation. On top of being taken at the 10mm end of this lense,I sliced some off the top and bottom to further stretch the scene.I would have been hard pressed to fit it in the square format you so expertly use.

Thank you for viewing and for the kind write. To add to the story,as close as these shacks are to the channel, most use ATVs/snowmobiles to get travel to theirs but some use their cars to travel on this ice with sometimes disastrous results as you can imagine.

The deep blue in the water is very attractive against the nicely exposed ice.  The sky could have been more even and pleasant, perhaps, if you had dialed in the polarizer a little more finely, or removed it entirely.

Thank you for viewing and for the observation.Using a slower shutter speed as you suggested earlier worked well on the snow and I am sure letting up on the polarizer would produce a different sky but you know my preference here.
