Landrum Kelly 64 Posted January 19, 2015 Different processing to create a different mood. . . See the next shot (click right) to see a closer approximation to how it actually looked at the "Blue Hour" of deep, deep dusk before the sky starts fading to near black. --Lannie Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted January 19, 2015 I like the shadowy dusk effect very much but not the blue of the sky, especially on the left which seems to condense in the spaces between the leaves. I think I would try desaturating the blue to around the level on the right which seems just about right to match the tints on the road Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 64 Posted January 19, 2015 Thanks, Jack. It was bluer on the left, but it still looks unnatural. I will have to do something with it, I suppose--perhaps desaturate it to varying degrees until it begins to look normal. I have noticed before that the blue sky between leaves and twigs can persist even when the rest of the photo is showing no blue in the sky. I am not sure why. I am going to reload a version with a mild sepia-like tint. It may take some hours to replace the bluish one seen now. --Lannie Link to comment
