White on White

It was 17º (F) and blowing snow. I am very happy with this image but

was miserable for this poor beautiful animal.

Beautiful shot and the horse seems to have a healthy layer to keep warm.  I do hope there was a barn near... Mike

No shelter whatsoever Mike. There were three of them in this field, this white mare and two brown mares. I am very happy with this image but was admittedly very miserable in my feelings for this poor animal and her two mates. I was dressed (actually a little overdressed as it turned out once I lugged the camera, tripod and 14 pound lens to the picture taking position) and was perfectly comfortable. These poor animals, on the other hand, had nothing in 15º below freezing weather.
