that"s a good capture- hope you are on the other side of a window!  Is the bird actually seeing its reflection? Can't imagine it actually going after you- ??

This is a very unique behaving Cardinal...

There are five or six males, partnered with females on my property.

This particular male, is the only one that flies at "everything"... he never raises his crest and chases other males away from feeders as well.

This territorial behavior has allowed me to make many unusual images of him.  

As someone has mentioned, yes, there was a window between us, but he can see me through it when I move.  The game was to remain perfectly still and wait for just the right moment.

This is the result.

Wow, you couldn't have had better timing!! what a fabulous capture of the wing and tail span of this male. I love cardinals. Excellent capture Frederick.
