Tony Brandstetter 814 Posted January 12, 2015 The bankruptcy sign in the window is poignant. Is there anyone that uses film any more? Link to comment
Not Here 93 Posted January 13, 2015 A very telling image. IMO the misguided "Hour Film Developing" by the film industry was the final nail in their coffin. It became impossible to find affordable (not professional) processing that was acceptable. I still love my DSLR though ;-)... Mike Link to comment
Tony Brandstetter 814 Posted January 13, 2015 At least the retail photo industry had to come up with new marketing tools to keep the business alive. Quality takes timeThanks for looking in Link to comment
Not Here 93 Posted January 13, 2015 I used to tell the local labs (who were capable of decent work) to hold my film until they weren't busy, days if necessary, and to take their time. Invariably I would get a call in about 2 hours that my photos were ready. Of course on the 2nd try they would get them more nearly correct. It was a trying time in my love of photography and I almost surrendered. Thanks for sharing this, but I'll move on with my digital now ;-)... Mike Link to comment
Tony Brandstetter 814 Posted January 14, 2015 I just purchased a new computer, I transferred all my photos the other day, 52K in all. In old days talk do you realize how many shoe boxes that is??? Stay well my friend. Link to comment
