This half-buried section of lobster trap catches the setting sun and

casts a long shadow on the snow covered beach.Thank you for your

Magnificent observation, fine detail and composition. Something substantial out of nothing, almost. I can't fully appreciate the possibilities here, but could you have obtained a slightly more diagonal perspective, a bit more corner to corner? Best regards.

Thank you for looking in and for the observation.Of course you are right and I should have thought of this while I had this in PP.I have reworked this as per your suggestion and while at it,I added some color to further abstract it.Better?

I am sure I have said something similar before. What I like about this photograph is the fact that you took it. Many would have ignored the subject and missed the chance.

No, no. no! Leave it just as it is. The color version is absolutely garish. Why anyone would want to mess with something as elegant as this is beyond me. Perfect just the way you have presented it. (On further consideration, perhaps I've overlooked a sense of irony - even sarcasm - on your part)

Thank you kindly. This is on a fairly isolated section of beach and except for the odd ATV traffic,my dog and I are about the only regulars walking around especially in these cold temperatures;as we always stay within reasonable reach of the car to get warmed up,I look for these things hoping to find an angle to make an interesting image.Glad you like this one.

I reworked this on Jon's very valid suggestion but I should have thought about setting it diagonally in the first place.Guess I should have stopped there, but I wanted to test what a color version would raise as reaction...now I know.Thank you for the clear opinion my friend.

BW for sure is ten points one,no color version.Title you gave is so good indeed.I like how shadow is seen on crisp snow.
