lynnemass 10 Posted January 5, 2015 A nice attempt at a painterly effect. It's fun experimenting with effects. I do think a stronger image would allow the effect to be better. What's the brown thing sticking out on the left? Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 258 Posted January 5, 2015 Hi, Lynne! It's a trash can, pity it wasn't caught with the stand stick and isn't recognizable! Thank you for your visit and serious comment! PDE Link to comment
Christal1664882414 0 Posted January 5, 2015 This is a really cool futuristic-looking effect. What would think about cropping down from the top to eliminate the sky? Just an idea.... :-) Happy New Year! Link to comment
ruudalbers 0 Posted January 5, 2015 A beautiful and original creative result, Pierre! Link to comment
overdiep 0 Posted January 5, 2015 Pierre, I like your new photo technique. The results are beautiful. Nice colours and mood. Best regards. Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 258 Posted January 5, 2015 Thank you, Christal! HNY to you too! I just thought of the cropping the sky out this morning, it changes the whole mood and is nearer to my aimed one! The possibilities are many and it depends on the character and mood of the person which will be chosen! Cheers to that PDE Link to comment

panayotis_papadopoulos 0 Posted January 5, 2015 Hi Pierre, I also like the second version a bit better. The human figure on the left is what attracted me the most...Cheers! Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 258 Posted January 5, 2015 Thank you, Panayotis! Of course you should prefer the second version, it's an improved one! Cheers to that! PDE Link to comment
lauramarco 0 Posted January 5, 2015 Dear Pierre, what I like the most is the opposite direction of movement that conveys the image. Some go, others come ... I too prefer the man on the left. It is by the way he turns his gaze to the ground, he seems lost in thoughts and is more integrated in the image. Without underestimating the image of the two ladies. You've played with an odd number of people, that always works, ie. odd numbers. The green of nature dominates the shot. I also like more the presentation without the patch of sky and without the trash can. I think the photo has got a lot more strength, these elements distracted a little. A semi-reality is drawn in their bodies. Not much seen before. Congratulations and wishing you a good year of amazing images and we for enjoying them.Kindest regards, Laura. Link to comment
norway 0 Posted January 5, 2015 Pierre, otra preciosa y creativa imagen. Te felicito.Saludos. Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 258 Posted January 5, 2015 Dear Laura, You have thoroughly explored and interpret this image, I can't say anything to it, I completely agree! I removed the trash can and covered the sky now because it was relatively easy to do, before I could take that kind of enterprise because it takes a lot of time to do it on a photo, painting is painting, you can always add something or remove something! Cheers to that PDE Link to comment

Not Here 93 Posted January 7, 2015 Let me add my vote for the 2nd version. This technique reminds me of the "Paint by Numbers" paintings we used to paint when I was young. Well done... Mike Link to comment
