Thanks for viewing/comments! If you ever been here you would know that Torry Pine

is a state park a bit North of La Jolla, CA. This shot is an image of an Osprey shaking

off excess water after getting what looks like a Perch from the ocean. The significant

to me is that I've never seen Osprey got fish from the ocean short with waves .. an all

that. I am in .. heaven to be able to witness this!

Thanks Bill! I've just had to explained to my wife how unique this shot is .. even though it's not that pretty  :-)  - I've never seen this before! Good to hear from you!

I guess this guy wanted a little variety in his diet ;-).  Interesting story and an excellent catch... Mike

I share your joy to be able to do this unusual photo , it is the same feeling I have after a long day for a unique successful photo that repays you for the fatigue, ciao Giangiorgio

Thanks Mr Mancil! It's just something I never thought the Osprey would do, I've seen them fish in pond, lake, river, estuary but never along the beach. I guess as long as the fish swill to the surface and they see food it's natural for them to go after the fish then. After all, the water in this area is extremely clear and the fresh water flowing out to the ocean from the esturary opening probably full of fish ready to go to the big ocean as well as fish trying to go into the fresh water esturary to spawn.

Grazie Mille Giangiorgio! After two weeks of vacation I am still free today but I am not sure I want to go out to shoot and if I do I probably should use the tripod, lol.
