Thanks for viewing/comments! I took this shot under the advise of a fellow shooter

who turns out to be a wildlife artist who thinks front lighting is flat and backlighting is

more interesting. As a birdshooter, I learnt that in general, light should be from the back

but I think my new artist friend has a great point that we tend to miss - Backlight can

offer a lot more than we imagine!

I see your friend's point and here it works well, but still miss light on the back of the pelicans. A matter of tastes, I suppose
