This street corner could be anywhere, but I know it's not here....We never use the umbrella when it snows.Great shot with the parked bikes gathering snow.

Meilleures salutations-Laurent

Very well done. Excellent composition and timing. A very complex and multi layered photo.

Best regards and A Happy New Year.

Thanks for your comments on this picture which is one of my recent favorites. I guess I just like the way the picture is divided up which is much more apparent in the larger view. It is pretty complex as Ioannis noted. As for the umbrellas, the snow we have here is the kind you find inside one of them snow globes, strictly of the picturesque variety. I'm sure there's a lot more weight and bulk to the kind you experience, Laurent. Anyway, 2015 is already underway here; haven't noticed any big changes yet. My best wishes to you all.

I really like this Jack. The falling snow gives it a dreamy quality as do the umbrellas and crumple of bikes. I love the geometry, but am really taken by the downward looking head of the man on the right. Well done !

A captivating winter urban landscape with a touch of melancholy. The composition deserves attention for its strong geometry that splits up the whole into seperate pictures each telling their own stories. You say a lot here without being too loud. Best wishes to you Jack for 2015.

Thanks for the extended comment. I think the coating of snow ties everything together, especially the collapsed bicycles in the foreground. I kind of thought this corner had some interesting possibilities and spent quite a bit of time freezing my butt off waiting for the right moment. This is pretty close to what I wanted.
