Thanks for viewing/comments! Some people think that when you shoot with

the 2X + 500mm F4 you end up with F8 and it's a bad thing but to me even F8

is not enough to get the bird well defined in details. When a 2x is used quality

surfer and closing the lens even more helps make the image more define

IMHO!

Thanks Mr. Mancil! I wished I could close down to F16 but I did not want to drop below 1/640 SS and I stayed at F11. Next time, I will shoot him with my Sony A7R

Thanks Greg and Verena! Good question, I've been seeing some noises from the 7D II shot at ISO 500 in bright sunlight (like this). Not on this shot at closer distance but on very much max distance with the 500mm + 2x and I am thinking the A7R (36mp) probably will give me even better image since the Sony handle noise very well. This still babble me since when I started I don't see much noise with this camera at all. However, I was only shooting with the bare 500mm then. I am still scratching my head to see where the noise comes from (the 2x, the series 1 500mm ? ... ). It's livable but there is something wrong that I have not figure out yet.
