Dear Michael, being able to handle any lighting situation, maintaining absolute control over the end result is something I've always admired. We know that in dark areas, there's very little tonal range and in this image of yours, there are very different lights: highlight and shadow areas .... shaded areas still hold a lot of information, such as the grass below right. And there's no noise. It is for these reasons that I love this image, I think is very valuable for the treatment of areas.

The colors are very well processed and a well made composition. To me, I do not like HDR, I abandoned it because sometimes the result is a bit "tacky", but now there're new methods like ELE, it's just to try!.

very nice composition, looks like a painting.  lovely texture and color detais, I enjoyed looking through the picture trying to find details and things.
