antonio.giacomo 0 Posted October 1, 2003 I walked out of the hotel, expecting to catch a bus to the railway station. But there were police cars around, and they seemed to be closing the road. Soon, I found out. In front of me raced two gentlemen in wheel chairs, going so fast that I thought that they might be going for the Hungarian F1 GP (that was a week before). Then came the pace car, and I realised that it was a marathon. Everything was a blur, as far as I could see, so I set the camera to a slow shutter speed. Does the photograph work? Link to comment
bernie_beckerman 0 Posted October 3, 2003 I like it alot. For anyone who's raced will know this is what it feels like as a participant. It's all a matter of frame of reference. Instead of running and having the world a blur around you, the runners are blurred in a stationary setting. Cheers! Link to comment
antonio.giacomo 0 Posted October 6, 2003 Hi Bernardo Thanks for the comment. I have done very little running, but I have done some ski racing, so I know about the world being blurred. There was a bit of embarrassment. I got into the middle of the road for a good angle just before the time car got there. My wife was shouting to me from the side of the road that the coach was about to leave, but it was obvious that I could not cross the road until there was a gap in the runners. Link to comment
