I did have similar effect using polarizing filter. It make leafs looks like surface of metal. But any way nice capture!

Thanks, also. However,no filters were used in this image - this is indeed how they look! These are not leaves but seed pods. G

I know this seeds pod that looks indeed like here and as a nice visual effect,we have this inside house in vase and is good looking.Is interesting too how in different culture the name of this pod is for ex,as you say ''silver dollar'' or in my area(don't know from where this name came)is ''Judas coins''.For me as photo subject this is a very good one and as usual your large view shows details sometime never seen with naked eyes.
