This picture prompts a lot of thoughts. Bowed but not broken - in fact my feeling is one of vitality and strength, laughing at the forces arrayed against it.

I like the stark nature of the resilient tree, and the uprights (fence posts?) that fade into the distance. The hint of water to the left makes for another interesting element of this photograph, and finally the processing or maybe just the light conditions that give the image a dated look, like an old painting.

I have photographed this tree many times without success. It is located on a golf course, and there is a highway with buildings in the background. The heavy fog that morning made them disappear to my pleasure!
