The ice sheet formation at the edge of the harbour starts with

individual lenses which then gel together with raised seams giving

this interesting pattern.Thank you for your comment-Laurent

I guess lentils would have been more appropriate....sometimes my mental French to English dictionnary gets tangled up.In any case,thank you for the kind observation.I attach a wider shot of this taken between the bridge abutment and the wharf breakwater.
