I like the depth , tonal range  and the human factor. Initially I was going to recommend removing the dark post in the foreground with content aware but the rectangular tiles might get distorted when the algorithm has processed it. 

I see a 2nd shot and I include it for academic discussion - not a recommendation.

Your version emphasizes on the right side with the baby's photo on it, that i like the most in this photo, but i am confused because i miss the horizontal lines that create depth to the photo. By the way i now see some brush marks (brightness\contrast) on the first light on the ceiling i blush for being so sloppy.

For me the frame of our camera is the "field" where we...sow the seeds of our composition at the moment of the ...click, that is to say "I want now this image", so the image is born, so is the image. So I live your original composition!
