I like the contrast and composition.

Very nice composition, and the strong contrast creates a powerful shot. I personally would like to see just a little more detail in the blacks of the coat and the bird's head.

Reminds me of my recent years in the northwestern border areas of China.

Excellent capture. The black and white is perfect here, and  composition is very good. Only I would like to see a little more space at the top.

Thanks for taking the time to comment. I have added a little sky above the top of the eagle and it does look better. I have also brightened up the bird a bit. Not sure about that one. However, I have three versions of the eagle at varying degrees of brightness. I'll settle on one eventually. Thanks again. Decided to stay with the black areas of the coat after experimenting a bit. After hunting for several hours up high, we were on our way back and the sun was relentless. Glad I was able to produce any photo that got my juices going considering the conditions.

My sense that the bird needs to be "pushed forward" more, does not diminish my appreciation of this powerful scene.  Nice work, Paul.
