This old lost lobster trap was brought to the beach during the last

storm.Fortunately,it was crushed and any lobster trapped in it could

escape.Thank you for your comment-Laurent

Thank you.Lobster fishing is done in shalow coastal waters and these traps really get bashed whenever storms hit the coast with the result that  many are torn from their lead ropes and lost to the fisherman;the real tragedy though is that these traps ''keep fishing'' and lobster caught inside starve/get weak and fall prey to the fresher/stonger lobster and so on.When it is crushed as here,it is a sort of a blessing as it becomes inoffensive to the lobster and makes for interesting photos.
