Jeff Filler 1 Posted November 27, 2014 Hi Christal! The photo seems a bit heavy in the foreground; perhaps crop some of it out? The colors seem a bit oversaturated, either naturally, or edited. Perhaps mitigate a bit by desaturation or adding contrast.I love your portfolio. I spend a good portion of my life living in the Palouse of E. WA (and N. Idaho) ... your photos of that area bring back warm memories. Recently I moved to Alabama, and am enjoying photographing the wonders here. All the best, JRF. Link to comment
Christal1664882414 0 Posted November 28, 2014 Jeff....thanks for your candid opinion. Lately I've been struggling with loading images on PN. I have to greatly oversaturate and sharpen them so they don't look bland. It's guess work as to how much, frankly. This is a recent development.....I never used to have trouble. So although the colors were quite vivid, I agree this looks 'over-cooked'. As for the bottom heavy thing.....I thought about a square crop....maybe I should give that another look. I appreciate comments like yours, so please feel free to comment on my work at any time. I'll look forward to checking out your portfolio as well. Thanks! Link to comment
Christal1664882414 0 Posted November 28, 2014 Here is a revised version......hopefully it loads with more true colors. Thanks! Link to comment
Not Here 93 Posted November 29, 2014 I'm looking at this on an iPad, not my calibrated monitor, but this screen has been accurate in the past. That said, while the original shot is cooked a tad I don't think excessively so (especially by PNet standards) ;-). I do prefer your second offering though... Mike Link to comment
