overdiep 0 Posted November 25, 2014 Pierre, They love each other! Romance in symmetry. I like the perfection of the shells in relation to the 'sloppy' canvas. Best regards. Link to comment
lynnemass 10 Posted November 25, 2014 Lovely still. Pleasing color pallet. The symmetry of the shells if offset by the asymmetry of the fabric. Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 266 Posted November 25, 2014 I'm a romantic, Marco! They are (were) one shell, but the matter connecting the two sides was not exactly good looking and I eliminated it! Thank you for your visit and nice comment! PDE Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 266 Posted November 25, 2014 Welcome Lyyne, Thank you for pointing me to that important matter, I never see things that analytically! I mean I'm aware of the difference and similarity of the background and the shells, but didn't see the texture as asymmetrical! PDE Link to comment

Pierre Dumas 266 Posted November 25, 2014 Thank you, Bill! I wish I had bigger canvas, but all the textures this guy had uploaded were not larger than 2000X2000px! PDE Link to comment
donev1 699 Posted November 25, 2014 Romantic mood and very good work with shadows, Pierre! Best wishes my friend. Link to comment
DavidRabinowitz 8 Posted November 25, 2014 I'm always trying to find the deeper meaning Pierre and I think you try to advise me otherwise so I'll just stop and stare...i do like the textures and distressed look...the colors are muted but have a nice orange blend to my eyes...it looks simple but I can't help myself from looking further as some of your images demand of me...regards....David Link to comment
kazimir 5 Posted November 25, 2014 Ears that are all around us and hear everything? (guess that canvas is only for "fine art" purposes).Sve najbolje prijatelju - evo mene na putu kuci...!!! Link to comment
michaellinder 16,611 Posted November 25, 2014 A perfect example of bilateral symmetry. To me, the image conjures up visions of a circulatory system. The shells represent a two-chambered heart lacking separate atria and ventricles. Instead there is a multitude of blood vessels. The heart's shape allows the blood to flow without restriction and in perfect harmony and rhythm. In a sense, it's a shame that some overambitious medical student had to remove the heart from its body in order to examine it. Yet, from my perspective as a viewer, I get also to take it in with the beautifully and intricately textured cloth on the examining table. Your abstracts - including this one - engage us not only passively via our sense of sight and but also actively by means of our imaginations. As a result, we are partners with you in the photographic process. Thanks for such opportunities. My best always, michael Link to comment

Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 266 Posted November 25, 2014 Thank you my dear neighbor and friend! I wish I could go outdoors and make pictures like yours, but I'm too lazy for that, ha! Cheers to that PDE Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 266 Posted November 25, 2014 Hey, David! There isn't something that I know intended this picture to say, I did it only with my sense of aesthetic, but if it keeps your curious mind to wnader around searching for some meaning, please tell me when you find it, ha! Thank you very much for your special way of supporting my work! PDE Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 266 Posted November 25, 2014 Mon cher ami, Nebojsa, You are right, as I said to David, only fine art! And about the all hearing ears I have another picture! Dobrodoshao kucci, prijatelju! Veliki pozdrav PDE Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 266 Posted November 25, 2014 Hey, Michael! The golden critiquer finally came to my pages! Yes, your imagination made a masterpiece of art and also medical science of this two poor parts of a shell! One of the most beautiful comments you gave us here and I thank you for that! Pierre Dumas 266 Posted November 25, 2014 Hey, Patsy! You finally said that, I was longing for that typical for you critique of my images quite for a while! Thank you very much! Cheers to that PDE Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 266 Posted November 26, 2014 Ti ringrazio molto per il tuo contributo interessante, il mio caro amico! Ho altre foto con conchiglie, fatte ultimamente che associano ad un bacio molto più di questo! Grazie! Ciao Mau Pietro il grato! Link to comment
GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted November 26, 2014 I love collecting shells, I feel they are free gifts scattered along the beach, all so different, and to think of what they have endured from the elements when we find them. For me, I think of Angels' wings, or Butterflies when I view this one. I have made a Christmas Angel long ago using shells very similar to these for the wings. It worked out quite well. I like seeing these new images from you....inspiring! Link to comment
gsaphoto 2 Posted November 26, 2014 Double on nothing! My personal choice is double that well represented here.:-) Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 266 Posted November 26, 2014 Welcome Gail! Thank you for your imaginative comment, I looked at them right when you mentioned wings, IE I always wanted to do a perfect angel, once I did, but I don't think it was just perfect! Best regards PDE Link to comment
