I'm getting a bad case of the DT's for the Smokies from all your recent posts ;-).  Beautiful shot with an anchoring (single) tree, an object of interest with the house and a glorious backdrop... Mike

Christal,

the LARGER view is excellent.  Have never been to the Smokies but after seeing photos from you and Mike it is definitely on my bucket list.

I agree with Bill, this one really comes to life when viewed large, sharpness is spot on and the subtle tones of the backdrop vegetation is lovely!   The white house makes for an acceptable intrusion by mankind........very well done!

Best Regards

Christian,  You do a great job in blending colors.  I ditto your other accolades in looking at the large view.  I think the house is the element of greatest interest in the image.  Without it the image would lack a focal point.   My compliments.  Larry

Mike....now you know how I've felt over the past years looking at your excellent work in the Smokies, but not being able to get down there myself!  :-)  Thanks!

Bill....Mike and his wife and Norm and I finally met each other last month in the Smokies.  It was great!  We talked about some of our favorite people on PN, and you are definitely one of them!  Thanks so much!

Alf.....and you were also one of them, of course!  We've decided that we have to get both you and Bill (among others) to the Smokies.  Maybe we could organize a PN week down there for a photo shoot.....hmmmm.....something to think about!

Ernest....glad you like it, and thanks for your comment!

Larry....I agree that the white house enhances the shot.  I took a lot of pictures of just colorful trees, and as beautiful as they are, they seem to lack something without the addition of another subject of interest. Thanks so much!
