Christal,

You have made good use of a slow shutter speed and your b/w tones are excellent.  It appears sharp and I think acceptable on my Macbook Pro with a 15-inch monitor.  One thought however...It appears that this image is 750 pixels on the long side.  Whenever I upload to PN for critique I usually make my images 1200-pixels on the long side.  BTW, this would make a great print and would look good framed and hanging on someone's wall. Best Regards, bb

Thanks, Bill.  I loaded it at 750 because I've been told to do that by others as a safeguard against anyone stealing my image.  (Not that anyone would necessarily want it!)  :-)  But I've been struggling with getting my images to look sharp enough when I load them on PN, so I'll try to load one at the size you suggest and see if I can see a discernible difference.  Thanks so much!

Bill.....there is a huge difference.  You may have just solved my problem....and my frustration!  I'm going to replace the original....not sure how long it will take to reload.  Thanks again!

Mike.....me too!  Always!   Hey, you all have a nice Thanksgiving!  We've already had our family Thanksgiving, though I'm having a few people over on Thanksgiving Day who are 'stuck' here in Indy and can't get home for one reason or another.

The difference in the detail of the larger version is remarkable.

I always upload my images at 1500 on the longest side, with the philosophy that if someone is desperate enough to steal them, then they probably need it more than I do : - )  The main object being for me is that people can enjoy them.

I like the choice of B & W, it allows an impression of coldness, whilst the shutter speed provides sufficient movement without turning the whole thing to mush.

Nice work Christal!
