Well, one could think the Title is a good question for me.....and yes, I

have not been on PN for some time, but I have not been hiding. We

all have those times in Life where so much happens at once and we

feel a bit overwhelmed. Almost 3 months ago, my son Jesse (35 yrs.)

fell 10-15 feet from a ladder, shattering the Talus Bone in his right

foot. There is very little blood supply to this bone and the Surgeons

had to sever the tiny vessels during surgery, then sew them back

together. If the blood supply did not return, the bone would collapse -

he could loose his foot. He told me this injury would be Life Changing

re having to be retrained for a new 'Career', it would take about a

year or more to heal (Therapy, etc.) and his one Love during the

Winter-Snowboarding would be a thing of the past. Being a Mother,

the news of his accident really was difficult. I knew my Faith would

bring me through this, but how do I encourage my son to 'hang on' ?

funnel all his energies into 'healing'? He has been a real trouper, is

improving and having Therapy. He was not been allowed to put

weight on his foot at all but tries to do what he can to help his fiancé

and her daughter Eden out. But he is still that 'baby boy' in my heart.

You always ache for them when times like this occur. My daughter

has been going through a rough patch with Family Court, and again,

I am believing Someone much more powerful is looking after us all. I

hope anyone else out there experiencing a 'rough patch' holds on no

matter how difficult it is. There has to be Sunshine after the Clouds.

(many thanks for listening, Gail :)

"When sorrows come they come not single spies but in battalions!" (Hamlet)

Take it one day at a time and "this too shall pass!" Your artistic creativity has not suffered as this work demonstrates. It simply superb. And perhaps another quote sometimes attributed to Shakespeare might apply as you travel this road; "The object of art is to give life a shape." It does, doesn't it. Be well by giving us more art!!

Here's wishing you and your family a very Happy Thanksgiving and, as Warren eloquently pointed out, this will all pass... Mike

You've combined the elements and textures to create an artistic work with beautiful colors,  nice composition with poetic feeling, and  pleasure to view! Interesting contrast of light and color too.

I hope the problems will be resolved soon, and it's always good to have faith and be positive.

Kind Regards :) :) :)

Love that little peering eye and the interchange between the butterfly and the errrm eye owner : - )

Sometimes the things that appear so delicate can be surprisingly strong, I think this applies to you on a personal level too.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and yours!

Hi Gail: So sorry to hear about the tough times you are going through, but your thoughts are always positive and hopeful, and you will further and evolve with all your energy and creativity. Sincerely, all my best wishes for your son's speedy recovery. Yes, last but not least, you regale us with wonderful images like this, with such an exceptional (and seldom seen) silver/gold colors and hues. A beautiful creation, and marvelous "confrontation" of subjects, where in Nature they are very much partners complementing each other.

I hope to keep seeing your great work and writings more often. Take care, be well.

I don't know very much but I do know that my daughter is happier. She has yet to receive any final papers. But just knowing there is a lilt in her voice makes me believe that our Faith in all that is Good will prevail. It is difficult to BELIEVE that there will be SUNSHINE when the skies have been stormy for years. BUT in many cases when we look back and see the 'bigger picture' we do find that there was a 'plan ' in place all along. I have found that to be true over the years. That is not to say that 'sorrow' and 'grief' will never touch our lives. We may never understand why loosing someone dear to us happened. But when we have time to see a bit more clearly, we are so fortunate if we can realize that these people we miss so much, have blessed us in such a wonderful way while they were with us. I also know that my son will have hurdles ahead, but I am sure that he will summon the strength to get through them. I have been very touched by all of you who have visited and left your kind words for me to hold onto. There are such good friends on PN, and I appreciate you all.

Fond regards, Gail

you have been such a good friend, writing when you have missed seeing any posting and enquiring how I am. I do appreciate your kindness....it is nice to be missed but your concern touched me very much. Your quotes from Shakespeare are so relevant and ones I have jotted down. Many thanks for your lovely comments on this image. Combining images often brings out a whole new slant that we otherwise would not see.

sincere thanks dear Warren, :) Gail

So sorry that you all are going through a very tough time. But it will end, all will be good , because you have an amazing attitude. Your artistic YOU will help a lot as well, because it takes you away to the realm of beauty. After the moment of Creation is over you feel healed, restored and ready to take another step.... You all will be fine. Bless you, dear.

Warmest regards, Tamara

You are so kind to stop by and offer encouragement. I talked to my son today and he had a positive note in his voice that truly warmed my heart. Each day comes with it's blessings.

Your visit and it's Positive Vibes took the chill out of this damp evening. I have learned to try and stay Positive, and not allow my mind to bee too burdened. It is energy wasted that could be much better used concentrating on healing thoughts for my family both in body and soul. Sure I have my moments, but I know there has to be others out there who face similar challenges...my thoughts go out to them as well. You understand how being Creative helps keep our minds occupied and fuels the Spirit! Thanks so much for your visit Tamara.

It is so good to hear your kind words. We all go through these times and I think each time we do, we learn more about how to cope, how to rise above and focus our energies on what is most important. It is good to be back a bit more. I hope I have even more time soon. I miss working on my images.

Hope the Nor' Easter does not hit you too badly....always the weather!!!
