Ive been playing with some different versions of post processing, and

honestly it seems like when I first apply the technique I love it, but then

when I come back to it a week or so later it has lost it's appeal. What do

you guys think?

I think that's a pretty common thing.  Most all of the retouchers that I follow seem to agree that they either process an image, leave it for a while then come back for final processing to let their eyes adjust or they process their images and then pull them back 10 - 30% to avoid over doing it.

I like this series and you have a beautiful model but the light and shadow on her hair seem inconsistent.  I think it may be exaggerated due o the other colors in the image being much less saturated.

The highlights in her hair by her left hand and on the right side of her face are completely blown out and there's no detail left at all.

It also looks like you're using a warming filter in a gradient from upper left to lower right and it's causing the skin on her face to be very yellow while her right hand is still quite pink.

Are you starting with a RAW file or a JPG?
