I just went through your 'recent' folder and I was looking for one that grabbed my intention. I finally settled on this one even though I gave a long look at 'find the beer' image. I find the light very pleasing , the orange grass and the red hut against dark brooding skies are also aesthetically pleasing. Composition is a 50:50 split and I kept wondering if the rule of thirds would be better here but I could not convince myself that the 'new' result would be nicer than what you have here.

For sure I would have taken at least 5 shots at this location - even trying the rule of thirds   or moving close to that first patch of light in the foreground  and then moving to the right into those grasses. You have me fantasizing that I was there!

I think I have blabbed long enough and I need some 'shut-eye' - so, all the very best!

Wow! This one goes right into my favorites folder! Who can resist a "spotlighted" red little structure with character surrounded by a threatening sky and a barren setting! A place of refuge in the wilderness, all lit up and calling to you!! Marvelous. An easy 7.

You are a night bird judging by the time on that comment for which I thank you. This was at the end of my walk on the dunes and my hands,my old D200....and my dog were frozen as we got back to the car.As I was turning the car,I saw the good light on the little red one and got out to take  a few shots and now with your comment, wish I had  rattled off a few more including a close one.Now I will just have to wait for some good light and great sky to go back for the missed shots.I still managed a few and I have  uploaded(right arrow) next to this one with thirds proportions and more of the right grass. What do you think?

Merci et meilleures salutations-Laurent

Laurent - Thanks for taking the extra time to do a crop to produce a 'rule of thirds' version.   I am sticking with this one.
