Bill J Boyd 64,084 Posted November 21, 2014 Christal,A beautiful scene and a great POV. The lighting was excellent. I feel like I am on top of the mountains and love how I can see the fog and just portions of the sun's rays. Well done! Link to comment
Not Here 93 Posted November 21, 2014 I really need to start getting up earlier in the mountains. Love the crepuscular rays and the low fog. The layering works well, too... Mike Link to comment

setsail728 14 Posted November 21, 2014 What a cool landscape photo Christal. Everything from the low hanging clouds/fog to the sun flare really works well here. And of course the autumn colors can't be beat. Lucky you that you were there during such a magnificent season! Bravo! Link to comment

Christal1664882414 0 Posted November 24, 2014 Patsy....I wish we lived closer because the Smoky Mountains are also one of my favorite places in this country. Lucky for you you live so close! Warren....we had been trying to get to the Smokies in autumn for the past few years. Finally made it! I also want to shoot it in winter. Thanks for your comment! Gregory and Verena....thanks for the taking the time to comment. Ruud.....on this trip to the Smoky Mountains I met Mike Mancil, and we had a discussion about how much we love your photography! So I appreciate your comment. Scott....thanks! I'll have to get over and see what you've been posting lately! Link to comment
Christal1664882414 0 Posted November 25, 2014 Didn't mean to leave you out! ;-) I learned the word 'crepuscular' here on PN.....from you, perhaps? Or maybe Chris Harris. Anyway, we weren't actually up as early as I wanted to be. It's hard dragging Norm out of bed when we're on vacation.....since he's not a photographer he doesn't see the need. :-) We're going to start taking separate trips occasionally....him on his adventures, and me on photo jaunts.
