Kazakh Hunter One

I guess I have a question. I don't do a lot of color work. Have I "overdone" this ?

However your point is well taken Foreground looks perfect, background a bit unnatural. 6, with a better background a clear 7+

colors look just right. The  bg could have been toned down some (use highlight slider). Good shot . Do you know if they hunt only for sport or for food?

I don't know what BD is.

This is a real Kazakh eagle hunter living in NW Mongolia doing what they have been doing since at least Marco Polo wrote about them. They mostly target fox and rabbit with golden eagles, they capture and train. They get together in the fall, just as fox furs are getting rich and full for the annual very local eagle festival. Marks the beginning of the hunting season.

Thanks Gregory and Verna. I never really answered your question about hunting for sport of food (got sidetracked). Hunting with eagles is ingrained in the Kazakh culture in NW Mongolia, even more so than in Kazakhstan. They hunt because its part of their culture and for food and fur. The fox is the prize catch. I know they eat everything, so unless there is some cultural no-no regarding eating fox, my guess is they eat the fox meat as well.
