Thank you for your appreciation. As for the shoot, these are all candids. I mostly use just a kit lens. I was wanting to practice my skills at this type of photography, but Dallas is like no other cities I know....there is never anyone on the streets, so I decided to go to events to find some subjects. It being Texas, the light can be problematic. There is a lot of harsh sun and people usually protect themselves with hats and sunglasses, so lighting is the first thing I consider after finding a subject.  I usually observe and find an interesting character and follow it trying not to be too intrusive. I stay glued to the camera and ready to capture an expression. For processing, no 2 images are the same....But, I usually use Color Efex on most of them to adjust lighting and color (it is a nice addin once you ignore the presets and use it as a tool). Some, I paint a background in PS with brushes. I use layers and masks a lot. Sometimes I create a BW version with high contrast and blend the luminosity in PS layers. Like I said no 2 subjects are the same. Some I like to extract more details, some not. Usually the subject itself dictate the end result I want to achieve.
