AJBart 9 Posted November 18, 2014 A title I might expect to see in an art gallery. Ha!! Interesting blend of color here. Nice detail in larger view. I can see the eyes clearly!! How big is it??? No visual reference for me to tell. AJ Link to comment

Pierre Dumas 265 Posted November 19, 2014 Hi, AJ! It took me time to remember which one was this one and if I haven't mistaken this picture was taken on my palm because he didn't want to rest in the jar in which I put him to take picture! He even killed in a moment the one I put in there to make him company! Then I decided to confuse him and poured him on the back of my hand at took this snap shot! Thank you for your visit! Pierre Dumas 265 Posted November 19, 2014 Hey, Patsy! Many people hate them and I love them, if not for anything else then because they are good models mostly! Thank you for your visit and nice comment! PDE Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 265 Posted November 19, 2014 Hey, Bill! Thank you, it was easy to post process him after he had been selected on a PSD, the making of the PSD file was really a problem, I mean much precise work! PDE Link to comment
Not Here 93 Posted November 19, 2014 First, what a superb photo of this exciting Arachnid! Second, from the thread size this guy must be at least 3" (7.6 cm) tip to tip! Getting this close would not be comfortable for me :-).... Mike Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 265 Posted November 19, 2014 He wasn't that big, Mike! Only maybe 2 cm from tip to tip or at most 3cm! The feeling was good when I surprised him by pouring him from the jar to my hand! He stood still confused and then I took the picture! Thank you for your nice comment! PDE Link to comment
donev1 699 Posted November 19, 2014 Interesting color combination, Pierre! I like this brown graduation. Best wishes my friend. Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 265 Posted November 19, 2014 Thank you, Evgeni! The texture isn't mine, I just put him on it! PDE Link to comment

Ciao, amico aracnoideo! gungajim 75 Posted November 19, 2014 A little too much realism for a PD image! Never would have guessed it was yours. I like all the texture - canvas and spider. Link to comment
chris_panagiotidis 0 Posted November 19, 2014 Well, lethal at least for the company it doesn't like, according your sayings. It certainly got the looks! I perfectly understand your attraction, Petraki, by this creature. What is admirable in this straightforward capture (that puzzled your audience and put everybody in worries about your good health), is the great effect the rug gives with its texture and shaded wrinkles to this certain angle. Of remarkable mention the fine details of this spider~enough to create some arachnophobia reactions! Yassou file! Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 265 Posted November 20, 2014 Hey, Jim! Expensive guest, welcome! Maybe you don't accept my surrealism and abstracts and don't visit me more often, this realistic (to some extent) picture is here to attract realists maybe, ha! Thank you for your precious visit and kind comment! PDE Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 265 Posted November 20, 2014 Hristaki, You are right in everything you said! I forgot to mention that these spiders are considered deadly poisonous and the people there, on the border with Greece call them Greek spiders! Otherwise once upon a time I was bitten by a scorpion there and spent two days in hospital! Efharisto poli for your precious visit and your thorough exploration of the image and everything on this page! Calimera Petraki Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted November 20, 2014 Very good clarity and I like the canvass background. Link to comment
felixphoto 0 Posted November 20, 2014 Vrlo oštra fotografija i moram da priznam da se pauk i platno na kome stoji odlično tematski poklapaju čineći atraktivnu celinu. Dobar rad i odlična kontrola svetla. Čestitam Pero! Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 265 Posted November 20, 2014 Thank you, Tony! I also like the canvas background, but, alas it isn't mine! Cheers to that PDE Link to comment
