I love old houses that have character.  Most new houses may be more energy efficient but they lack the uniqueness found in the earlier era of homes.  Good shot... Mike

You are right.I had the previledge of owning/restoring/living in a heritage house for over 20 years when I was in Montreal and,as you say,the warmth of these far outweigh their energy defiency.This one,not so old had the unusual feature of stone columns for the open front varenda,I guess a sign of the means of the original owners.Of course,it is set on a big lot ,a rather rare feature in these times of high taxes.Thank you for the looking in.
