You seem to be doing a bit more experimenting lately with some very interesting results. This picture has the feeling that it is still organizing itself even as we look at it. It seems that nascent moment before perception has had time to fully coalesce into a familiar pattern and therefore appears breathtakingly new as if it were beheld for the first time.

You are right. This one,I started out with the intention of posting in color because of the  nice spectrum of autumn colors on the ground and the good sky except for a flare-out on the left just above that slanted treeline.I worked on it;it did not turn out so good;I de-saturated it and adjusted the tones to arrive at this.....but I think it is an image worth a second try,all this with my primitive PP skills and basic program.Thank you my friend for a ''just'' observation.

Thank you for viewing and for the kind appreciation. As I noted to Jack above,B/W was not my first choice but I am glad it worked out.

Laurent, really like this B & W shot. It almost has a feel of an infrared shot, especially on the grass, that looks like it is almost fluid. well seen and well executed, best wishes William.

Thank you for the kind appreciation. The fluid look on that grass lining the brook is from being flooded regularly as this is a tide sensitive area not far from the harbour.

Brilliantly composed as usual.  All above and below the trees suggest movement and give the feel of transitioning.  (When I tilt my monitor just-so, the tonal value placement appears perfect). Excellent work, Laurent. (I suspect you have a "home" image from Indonesia that would be perfect for the latest contest)

Thank you so much.As I noted to Jack above,I intended for this to be in color but with my skills,I fell short so I went B/W and I am glad it finds approval.Re the Home contest,I scratched my head and decided to go with a few winter shots from here when getting/being inside is a real comfort.I had not even thought about Indonesia but you are right;I have a good lot of images to go through and will eventually get to it.....!
