I think the best is the composition and how you manage to retain the detail of the background. 

The hand is of course key in the shot.

IN general I do like images with high contrast, but maybe in this case lowering it a bit would also help.

A moment seized and an intense one....Bravo!I think this would be as excellent with a tighter frame from the right but that is just a matter of taste.
