Landrum Kelly 64 Posted November 11, 2014 I bought this old Yamaha in Durham in the fall of 1967 while Betty was at Chapel Hill. I don't play it much anymore. --Lannie Link to comment
mountaineer1965 0 Posted November 12, 2014 Personally I would have preferred the guitar be the brightest part of the shot. Link to comment
michaellinder 16,612 Posted November 13, 2014 To the contrary, the dust on the strings indicates that this guitar has shared its voice on many occasions. It still has the capability to provide at least one more song. In my opinion, the strong contrasts - the areas of bright light and very dark shadow, add impact. I find it interesting, though, that the contrasts are not quite as strong on the guitar. To me this adds mood. Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 64 Posted November 14, 2014 Thanks, guys. I was just sitting here with my laptop and looked up and there it was. I had a camera within arm's reach, so I just snapped. I had to make it high contrast to hide some background clutter. The actual light on the wall (next to the fireplace) was much better than this. It was incredible light. For some reason I was not able to quite capture it. --Lannie Link to comment
