I really like the color and detail of this picture, Perhaps it's a close up of the planet Mars taken from a visiting space probe.

I never looked at my rusty anchor that closely but perhaps I should. Then I wouldn't feel so guilty!! Nice color and surface pattern, including the little barnacles, when you get in close. I'm amazed that you picked this up! C'est merveilleux!!

Merci bien!This is off the anchor of a channel marker and the growth is from spending six months under the salted Atlantic waters.Easy to pick up as the markers and their anchors are parked on the edge of the wharf as you saw in thosev other images.Salutations amicales-Laurent
