This old shed stands alone as the house and other buildings which once

were part of a homestead are now gone.Clock is ticking on its

collapse.Thank you for your comment-Laurent

Abandoned buildings are always emotive to me.  I'm left puzzling about the people who lived here, why did they leave and what was their fate.  Well done... Mike

There are a lot less of these around as they are collapsing from old age;in my almost 10 years since moving in this area,I have witnessed several disappearances but fortunately,I had seized photos as here, one being my granparents' house which I saw go with great sadness as you can imagine. In this area on the coast, fishing was the main/only occupation so it is easy to imagine that these houses were homes to fishermen and their families and the other buildings were for the gear, the salt fish for the winter and the barns for the few animals/poultry needed for meat and dairy products and of course for the so essential family horse;you guessed I base my reply on what I vividly remember from my grandparents place.Thank you for looking in and for bearing with my long response.

Meilleures salutations-Laurent
