Just beautiful with a natural framing  - and as you probably know, one of Mike's favorite places.

Thanks to you all!  Yes, this is the Foothills Parkway on the NW side of the Smoky Mountain National Park.  I wanted to get up earlier than my husband, which is ALWAYS the case, so this is what was offered to me by the time we got there, which was quite a long time after sunrise.  At least the fog hadn't dissipated yet!  

Oh...and Tony.  Yes, Mike is my inspiration for all things relating to the Smoky Mountains.  Remind me sometime to tell you about how Mike and I got to be friends.  Norm and I finally met Mike and his wife down in the Smokies last week!  It was a blast!  We didn't go shooting together though, so we'll both have different images to offer.  

Yeah, I thought that looked like Thunderhead Mountain in the far background.  I've been trying to get Tony to stop by the Smokies on his way to the islands.  Maybe we can all meet there some time... Mike

Amazing how well you know the park and can recognize all the landmarks.  Yeah, let's work on Tony, okay?
