Hi Laurent.

What a great surprise! First /sorry second/ image I opened for offering my two cents is this stunning shot.

Perfect composition the soft warm tones of the rocks the blurred reeds and yes the pose of the gull is just puts the whole image together perfectly.

Thanks for sharing.

My best wishes to you as always.

Hope the "rating elves" will agree with me: 7/7

I agree with Andy, great composition. The colors of the lichen are wonderful and the bird is just adding the needed final touch! Félicitations pour image très réussie!

Good to hear from you.I got in trouble getting shots of this and other gulls I spotted near the ferry landing while waiting to board;thinking there was plenty of time,I walked over to take a few shots and sort of forgot about the ferry until some frantic honking brought me back to find that my car was blocking the access.I guess the images I got out of this were worth the aggravation.Thank you for the kind comment and generous rate.

Merci bien! The misty overcast dampened that lichen just enough to enhance the rich colors and somehow got the gulls to stay put even if I walked very closely;I could have spent a lot more time here....if it hadn't been for that ferry crossing.

Thank you my friend. This gull maintained that pose even if I moved fairly closely;maybe it was used to the human presence and being shot regularly by the ferry users.

Thank you kindly. This was one of those times when all seemed ideal for shooting....except that there was a ferry to take.

Best regards-Laurent
