Sometimes the easy shots are right out the back door from the lodge at McDonald's.

MLM, let me know if I missed removing any spots on my sensor ;-) Aloha

No, there's one just above the word Honda... ;-) not really.  A perfect capture of a fabulous place... Mike

Dominick - great scene making me wish I was there. Your composition is spot on with excellent clarity.  Back in 2009 I was in Waterton Alberta and Lake McDonald was only 128 miles away and I passed up that opportunity. Shame on me.

I had sworn off from using a polarizer on my 10-20mm wide-angle and I tried it again this Fall and when there is a sky, based on my tastes, I don't like what it does to the sky.

I don't know if you used a polarizer here but to my untrained eye , it looks that way.  The blue sky on the left looks intensely blue and darker than the rest of the sky.  I know someone else here at PN who likes to use the polarizer on a wide angle and most people appear to like the effect.

You are making many fine images here at Photo.net (your milky way and Volcano is particularly appealing) so keep up the good work,
