Ever since the summer they took up residency in my lawn mower/storage

shed, and we had to learn to co-exist, bees and I have gotten along

very well. I pretty much don't bother them and they don't bother me

even when I get real close with my camera. But it was not until

recently upon becoming infatuated with macro photography that I have

found them very interesting and quite beautiful creatures. In fact

since macro photography, I find most everything interesting and often

beautiful. I'd be embarrassed to reveal all the "crazy" things I've

photographed just to see what they looked like in macro. With macro,

the greatest challenges for me are trying to minimize any motion

whatsoever, and finding a strong composition. Sometimes I am lucky,

often times not. Comments and critique appreciated.

Mike,

Thanks.  By the way, your "lizard love" entry is awesome.  Kind of like chance being presented to an artist who could properly memorialize the moment with their art. Good luck.  It stands out.

Your voyage into the macro world has yielded some delightful images, it isn't surprising that it has held your attention. This one is no exception, beautiful colour and exquisite detail!

My one only slight negative is that the wing and leg clips the frame, though I suspect that this could be easily rectified if you felt it was required.

Compliments!

Alf,

Much appreciated.  That is my negative too.  I am experimenting with "sensation" derived from transparent and other type borders. This border doesn't work for me either.  Your comments are always helpful.  Thanks.

Patsy,

Many thanks.  I think I am picking up some of your skills at getting along with creature but I still can't make them pose like you do.
