I took the image of the crabapples at our Ecology Garden last

September. I decided to do a Digital Alteration with layers.

Crabapples Blossoms are so pretty on the tree (and to photograph). I

have found the fruit to be very sour and not so pleasant. But I have

tried a Crabapple Jam/Jelly that was quite nice. It is becoming quite

cold, leaves almost fully turned, many fallen from some trees, quite a

few rainy days - yes it is October - already! And I am longing for the

warm days of summer or at least September. We had snow in

November last year and it didn't go away till late April, into May. Not

sure what is in store for us this year, but I do know that I should

treasure any day that is pleasant the whole year through. (any

thoughts shared are always appreciated *Gail :)

I love the image and the sunlight effect, however the music bars underneath detract from the image.  Would make a great wall image...

Thank you for sharing those thoughts Jason. I do appreciate your POV. I was making this a Digital Alteration, but I know I will probably redo this image without the textures, or the paper music. I may enter it under Flowers when I do that. I am happy to hear what you think though. I often question myself as I am putting a Composition together. :) kind regards, Gail

This is a beautiful image and interesting too. I like the elements of other images you incorporated. They make it richer. Nice work.

Softness of shapes and colors but most of all the light you have here from upper right corner is excellent,is an artistic work did by you, compliments Gail.

I'll tell you Gail, there are very few who can blend photos so seamlessly and produce such a coherent and appealing image. This is an picture worth contemplating. Good to have you back.

Just amazing.
At "prima vista" i thought maybe Eros was too much but as i kept staring it i felt that everything was in place.

Keep shooting.

Ps. I like your subtle signature too.

You have mastered this technic very well indeed. Very artistic presentation!. I love the background, the archer shooting at the light... the autumnal colour palette ...Sincere congratulations!.

Quite a remarkable image for the way the apotheosis works for the humble-sour-fruit. The title refers to your touch. Hi Gail, it is good to be active again , after a work-biased  hibernation and encounter again your creations! Warm regards!

The humble fruit and music score immediately evoked memories of a seasonal song the words of the first line seemed to be just right.  "The wind blows the ashes of summer and tears at a torn paper face on the hording"

Dellightful dreamworks!

Best Regards

Many thanks for your beautifully written critique. You 'translate' my images so aptly, and make me see things that even I don't always see. A lot of people 'curse' this apple for the mess they find on their lawns, but the blossoms are always so beautiful in the Spring.

Thank you each one for sharing your thoughts on the artistic flair in this composition. It took me awhile to decided which route to go.

Kind regards, Gail

so lovely to hear from you. I had hoped to get back online sooner than this, but I do appreciate the way you weave words together. Always 'poetry' when you visit!

I am sorry I did not get online right away-I did however see your email and am sure I sent a short message back. I always find a smile forming when I see your name and immediately think of your beautiful country and wonder where you have visited lately. I will be over to check your work. My shoulder continues to need me to exercise and have Physio, but I am so much more comfortable all the time. I do forget once in a bit, and overdo it, but I do try in the most part to be aware of NEVER HURTING it again!!!

Cheers to you my dear friend, Gail
