Except for maybe in New York city, I think I have never seen such a

gathering of beautiful people - men, women and children of so many

nationalities as at the festival of cultures in Nash, Tn, Oct 4, 2014.

This image is of Shahrzad (her real name), an Iranian who performed

with her equally beautiful sister, Shabnam. Comments and critique

welcome.

A winner! A wonderful capture and that perfectly placed purple veil adds heaps to the aesthetics. Well done!

Dear Wayne,

I really like this portrait, I love the movement of the gauze, of the clothing. The colours are very interesting.

The sense of movement vs. the stillness of the face is what I like the most. Wow !, very nice, it seems a dream, "Thousand and One Nights"

Congratulations. Warm regards, Laura Marco

Laura,

Many thanks.  A thousand and one nights, exactly. When I learned the dancer's name was really Shahrzad, I was even more attentive to her movements with the veil.

Great composition.  The movement of the striking purple veil makes the image, as does the subtle light that appears on her face and chest.  Wells sen and beautifully captured.

Lynne,

Thanks for the kind comment and analysis.  Really waited for the movement of the veil.  Waiting and watching her was not difficult.  Ha, ha.
