I feel like I'm in very good company.  Just recently I posted an image based on a similar premise.  I shot the photo at Montauk, New York (the point furthermost east on the south shore of Long Island).  Yours has more diversity of color and greater impact due to the shadows.

My best,

The sandstorm makes the picture look like a painting, and saturation adds a surrealistic touch. A very interesting picture! Different!

Kind Regards,

Rosario.

There is a lot  of sandstone in this area and the beaches are loaded with these smooth-edged stones with a variety of different colors, subtle when viewed normal but the colors really pop when oversaturated as here. The wind denuded stones projected some good shadows under that low afternoon sun.A walk on the beach can reveal some interesting stuff as what you seized in that shot at Montauk, more realistic than this exagerated scene.Thank you for the kind write.

Thank you my friend. The wind blew the sand off exposing the stones and kept blowing making for the gritty look.As I noted above, this scene is made this colorful by oversaturation in PP.

Laurent, your saturation and Mother Nature's sandstorm combined to create an unearthly atmosphere that is accentuated by your lighting decision - the side-lighting really works.
