panayotis_papadopoulos 0 Posted September 23, 2014 Voyage to Cythera (Greek: Ταξίδι στα Κύθηρα, translit. Taxidi sta Kythira) is a 1984 Greek film directed by Theodoros Angelopoulos. It was entered into the 1984 Cannes Film Festival, where it won the FIPRESCI Prize and the award for Best Screenplay. Thank you for any thoughts recommendations. Cheers! Link to comment

Pierre Dumas 261 Posted September 24, 2014 Wonderful tones and beautiful scene on the ferryboat! The sky is great and the silhouettes make the scene unreal!Even the word taxi comes from Greek, that's what I've learned from this picture and the caption! Well done my friend! Best regards PDE Link to comment
alfbailey 2 Posted September 24, 2014 The clouds look as if they are alive in front of me, such vibrancy and drama! I also like the part silhouetted figures and shadows. This is a very interesting and well balanced image full of life and atmosphere! Best Regards Alf Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted September 25, 2014 The sky is great and the silhouettes make the scene unreal! Pierre said that and it sums up what I wanted to say. And now I am going to seek out that movie. All the very best, Link to comment

yecon 0 Posted September 25, 2014 Excellent back-light handling here Panos! The crowd along with the fantastic tones and texture of the sky make this extra vivid! I am not sure about the allegory though! Never liked this guy's films anyway (RIP)... Link to comment
panayotis_papadopoulos 0 Posted September 26, 2014 Yanni, I am not a fan of Angelopoulos films either but this movie I liked it back then. Perhaps the allegory is not the ideal but somehow this was the first thing that crossed my mind when I saw the result on the sceen of the iPhone. Take care! Link to comment
charo 3 Posted November 4, 2014 This image has expressive power, and high-impact, reinforced by the strong contrast and dramatic sky. I like it very much!Kind Regards,Rosario. Link to comment
