Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted September 23, 2014 Large view available for detail. Minneapolis is known for its park system and city lakes. This image is a snipet of Lake of the Isles captured about 10:30 AM. Your comments are valued and appreciated. Link to comment
lynnemass 10 Posted September 23, 2014 Quite a serene landscape. I do wonder what caught your eye - the trees and foliage or the reflection. If the reflection, then you might consider cropping off the top 1/2. Link to comment
Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted September 23, 2014 Hi Lynne, You raise a good question that I need to consider. I was at the lake with my daughter and our dogs. I think I was attracted to the relationship between the red leaves, the willows, and the reflection. Cropping the top may be an excellent idea. I will try it on a copy of the image. Thanks, Lynne. Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted September 23, 2014 Lynne, I have cropped the image and posted it next to this one. Thanks for your advice. What do others prefer - this image or the full vertical one? Larry Link to comment
gardena 0 Posted September 23, 2014 Hmm, interesting question. I will just say that the long sweep of the willows in the portrait orientation caught my eye first when I looked at the thumbnails. Link to comment

JeffBryce 0 Posted September 24, 2014 This is better. The willow branches complement the vertical format. The position of the red & yellow leaves is classic and more pleasing. Link to comment
